Description
The MIYAKOSHI MLP semi-rotary UV offset press was specifically designed to address the fast-growing demand of short/medium-run production of high-quality labels offering short makeready as well as reduced wastage of materials.
Full integration of the latest servo-driven technology assures a very precise intermittent (forward and backward) web motion, keeping an optimized web tension throughout the press. Changeovers are remarkably quick, mainly thanks to fully electronic format changes which no longer require any manual intervenciones using tools.
A proven high standard of offset printing technology enables label printers to achieve the best print quality with clear dot reproduction and beautiful tonal gradations, often difficult to achieve with flexo or letterpress presses. Furthermore, a bearer-to-bearer contact design assures sufficient pressure between paper and plate, allowing for consistent image transfer even onto materials with a rough surface.
This characteristic largely contributes to good suitability for wine and spirits labels which tend to use textured papers. Not only superb print quality, offset also offers considerably lower plate cost compared to that of flexo presses. Most controls and adjustments such as register control, ink/water balancing and ink-key adjustment are digitalized to centralize the press operation. Requiring minimum skill and experience, any operator can use the MLP with remarkable ease.
